My 10 year old grandson absolutely loves your videos. I subscribed for him. Besides you, he’s into Teslas, and coding. He could use some organizational ideas though. He’s going to be so surprised that he can now use my Patreon app to watch you.
Dear Mehdi,
Please do a video on « ionocraft ». You are so good at explaining, I might finally get it… and for God Sake, do not kill yourself!
Love watching you videos they are informative funny and easy (well in a I’m in the edge of my seat will you kill your self kind if way) to watch I found you through bigclive who I also love to watch. My wife says you both remind her of me (how does that work lest take it apart and find out and outch it hurts when I leave it on happens a lot lol) I’ve always had an intreast in electrical and plumbing theory and your channel helps feel my appetite for this kind of content. Keep up the good work

Hi, have you ever done a feature on Faraday Cages? Are they real or just bunk?
Do they really block mobile signals etc? Of is that a ‘convenience’ for films like shooting locks off?
This would be quite easy to test as a microwave is a Faraday cage to keep the microwave energy inside so as not to cook the person using it. So if you put some items into it bluetooth speaker, fm radio, mobile phone, something WiFi connected and looked to see which if any items lost signal it or what level of signal drop was noted. This would give a good indication of what frequencys a basic Faraday cage would block. The more conductive shielding you added to it i.e covering the inside of the glass with foil not the original mesh would improve the Faraday cages effectiveness so could be used to test compleat shielding possibilities. Just don’t turn it on lol well this I suppose would also stop the phone from receiving signals but it’s a little more permanent.
Hi Mehdi,
I always read your name Mehndi I dont know why.. xD
I am viewing and following your videos from a very long time, time when usually I don’t have much money even for my puny electronics stuff. Thanks for your videos. Now I can thank you by supporting you, so here I am.
One Question: Kindly tell me what multimeter is appropriate for electonics stuff. I am thinking of purchasing Fluke 87 v. Actually I am considering to have one good stable precise multimeter if things go positive ahead. What do you suggest?
p.s – bdw do you know what mehndi is?
Fluke 117 is the most fantastic meter you will ever need!
87 cannot measure capacitor
Love the videos. Really like learning this stuff but have a really hard time considering everything is based around things you cant necessarily see or touch. Being able to see everything with the tools you use and the descriptive visual explanations make it trillions of times easier to understand (almost easy). Soon I’ll hopefully be able to play around and make some stuff. I own a home automation company and could make a whole bunch of toys with the right set of information lol
Plumbing analogies work for me, at least as to the simpler stuff. “Raise” the current “up,” and let it “flow” down to ground. Just keep in mind that the power company is not selling you new electrons. Heck, they’re not even renting you used electrons. They just tap on one of the electrons on their end and the one on your end pops out and heats up your light filament. Sorta.
Could you make a video on EMP damage/repair? In case of the kangaroos in Australia starts throwing nukes on us.
Best regards,
Hi, Mehdi! I just became a Patreon. I LOVE your videos! I hate to admit to being selfish, but I have always dreamed of owning an oscilloscope ever since I was a kid. With two kids of my own now, it’s likely not something I’ll be able to afford. I’m hoping this VERY modest contribution gives me better chances and helps you at the same time. THANK YOU! You’re a great teacher!
Your videos are always nice and make me learn stuff in the fun way! i’m a french engineer student and I owe you a few point on a lot of my papers. Let me thank you with this modest contribution.
Keep the good work and if you ever go to Paris I would love to show you my own science projects.
Hello Medhi,
I am a undergraduate Chemist that works in a Physics Lab. Due to the complexity of this field, I have used your videos to understand a lot about electricity. I don’t know if you know much about LIBS, but our work uses lasers to create emissions that we can observe with a Spectrometer. What’s interesting is that we can use an oscilloscope to track when the plasma is formed! Watching your videos has helped with my understanding of circuits and plasma physics required to be known in our field. I look forward to you making for good videos… Speaking of which as a request (I just became a patron today). Could you make a video about how a Spectrometer works?!
Mehdi,
I wanted to say thanks. My family and I watch your videos together, and it has taken electronics from something that was inherently boring to something that is the most fun one could possibly have. It’s also made TV time a little more fun for all parties involved instead of just some. It’s really something when you son says to you, “will you teach me how to solder?”.
If you’ve ever wondering if what you do makes a difference in the life of others, you need not look further than this example.

Good Day.
Finally I could join the BOOM-Patreons!
Nice videos, and, your Mehditation channel is a nice innovation…
Don’t get killed by the.. CURRENT! Because, we all know it’s the current that kills and not the voltage…right Mehdi?
Mehdi?
Just kidding..Waiting for the next video! Have a nice day, you and your whole family!
Hello Mehdi.
I joined your pateron after watching all your videos published on bilibili.com by 罗兹. It is really helpful (Although i’m not an electronic engineer but a computer science student), i mean it has real knowledge inside, not some trick or magic show made by others. However, i was worried about all those dangerous operations you did in the video. I know some of it is part of the video and can help others to raise awareness to the danger, but i really wish you don’t hurt yourself any more. I mean, blowing the capacitors is already dangerous enough, maybe you can take some safety googles and gloves to keep yourself safe.
Well, i’m not sure if i’m over-worried like an old mother :), but i really like your video and want to see more of your great work.
Hey Mehdi,
Just wanted to say that you’re an outstanding educator.
I’m always genuinely happy watching your videos.
you’ve made the world a bit brighter.
Thanks for keeping me engaged.
My deepest respects,
So happy… literally overjoyed… to come across your videos. At first I thought you were crazy or perhaps insane… I then realized I was right after all. You are insane but obviously talented and gifted. Thank you for being able to teach electronics to someone who has struggled with this understand. Oddly enough, my father was an electrical engineer and even he couldn’t teach me. LOL… you’ve got one up on my dad there.
Thanks,
Overjoyed
Hello.
I am an electrical engineer in the UK near London. Sadly I am now bed bound after injuring my back years ago in the Royal Navy it became so bad over the years and after two operations that I have had to take early retirement at the age of 42
before retiring I spent many years working for a company called Openreach that look after over 90% of the UK telecoms infrastructure. I was lucky enough to help in the development of RedCare (A secure alarm signaling system) and later a technology called FTTC and FTTP (Fibre to the cabinet and Fibre to the premises). If you need any help with any type of normal and secure communication systems I will be happy to help. I have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a masters in cryptology.
I now live in a hospital bed in my living room and have to rely on carer’s for my daily needs. I started Youtube watching EEVblog and from there subscribed to Big Clive, Ave, John Ward, your channel and many others. If it has electrons in it I watch it.
I think you do a great job educating a wide age range about the fantastic world of electronics in an entertaining manner whilst still getting across the theory side of your demonstrations. Channels like yours and the ones mentioned above help me keep my sanity and relieve the boredom of being stuck in bed.
I donate to other channels to so I am sorry I am unable to donate a higher monthly amount. I would love to do so but the UK government are not exactly generous the disabled ex servicemen.
Keep up the great work and I hope you achieve your end target soon.
Hi Stuart,
Sorry about your bed situation and thank a lot for the support.
I wish I could do something about your back, after all it is just an engineering challenge! In fact, I have some tools. Let me know if you want me to fix it!
Have fun!
Hey, after I deep decades long depression where I had zero interest in anything at all watching your videos has motivated me to begin learning electronics and start building my own things and this new hobby has been helping to keep my new and improved mood stable so I thank you so much and only wish I could support you further.
Hi Laura!
This shows engineers can fix anything, even depression!
Stay healthy, and I’m happy to have helped.
Thank you so much for all the education over the years – if you are ever in Montreal – i would love to come see your show or meet you – i am new to electronics and am learning like crazy !!!! I am currently taking udemy courses – you should make a udemy course ! Hope I win this oscilliscope – it will go to good use – i promise !
I came across your vids on YouBube after looking for Tesla coil demos. Then I stayed and binge-watched ALL your vids. Take my money, please… (to help with first aid supplies) You are da awesome! (for a Canadian, at least) Keep it up!

Great Videos As always
Love your Love for science and sense of humor Mehdi!!
Looking forward to more intuitive learning from you!!
It’s partly your fault I recently switched jobs, going from web development to more hardware-based work… Forever grateful, thanks for everything!
A massive inspiration in getting into electronics and having a laugh at the same time.
Keep up the videos and can’t wait to learn new things from you!
my honor to be one of ur supporter!
I figured I should stop leeching your vids, and become a Patreon.
Have loved your videos for years now, and look forward to more from you, and Electrocute
I started making tesla-coils, playing with gunnplexors (I want to hear you say GUUUNPLEEEXXORRRSSS!!) and other silly electronics about 20 years ago as a teen, but have recently been getting back into electronics, and I’m currently building a Johnny 5 replica from Short-Circuit. gradually building up modern kit to replace my 70s stuff i inherited.
your videos are a great inspiration, and always entertaining. You better keep making them now you’re getting my hard-earned cash
nathan
I would love to see pics/video when your No. 5 is alive! Was a favorite movie when I was a little kid.
Just became patreon I think your videos. Are educational and will inspire the younger generation to become engineers in the field of electronics and your videos should be used in schools for demonstration purposes maybe something to look into keep up the amazing work
Hello Mehdi. I like your videos. And as such decided to become a patron supporter. I want all DA GIVEAWAY TIME giveaways , but mostly I want to show support. When I become rich (yes. when.) I will pledge more of the monies. but until then, I am poor. Also, thank you.
From engineer to engineer I can say Great work! Keep it up!
I stopped my electric engineer job and became IT engineer and now I almost forgot everything till I found your channel! All came back to me and now i have new motivation to work on private projects just for fun! Than you! I hope you will be muse for more ppl like me!
From one engineer to another, you’re awesome! Keep up the good work!
Hey ElectroBoom, I just want to say thanks for all the support, your creativity, and for pointing out obvious mistakes before new creators like me blow themselves up. I watch your videos all the time and I am making my first power supply that can take power from a Battery source, AC, USB 5v, 9v, and 12v, or a DC 32v power supply and power, 6 USB, 2 AC, and 2.1×5.5 out to charge the battery or power any other device, between the In and Out sources I have variable buck or variable voltage regulator so i can dial in the voltage of the device I need to power. All I need is a scope, I’ve purchased several items from Circuit Specialties because of your videos, again, thanks for all your content, you’re awesome, and I’m happy to finally be a Patreon supporter of yours.
Hey ElectroBoom, I watch your videos all day in my office, its so crazy that most of the time the same day you post your videos, I am working on or had just recently finished the same experiments and inventions. I Think the creation voice of God is with you and many of the inventors I follow. Whatever the case, glad you are tapped into that voice and share your passion with the world, you are awesome!
ElectroBoom, first, you totally rock!!! I’ve been watching and laughing along with you for a year or so and finally I just had to jump on board and support you. Today I saw the video where you called out the kid who is claiming to have created a free energy device, what nonsense. You do a real service to logic and education in general and the fact that you have no issue with calling this nonsense out is wonderful. I totally love your daughter and her contribution with the little car & mousetrap in the video. I’m slowly teaching myself electronics and I really appreciate your approachable and clear teaching style. Please keep it up, I’m a huge fan!!! And by the way, I almost never make the time to leave comments but I just dig you so much I had to let you know…
I really enjoy your videos. Please dont get hurt
Electroboom!!! I wish i could give more money to you per month!! You teach so well!! It is so cool that you can relay so much knowledge with the funniest sense of humor!! Most electrical engineers are so smart it almost hinders their personable skills. I almost choked the time you were testing frequencies on your tongue and then said “oh yeah, i can also do this too” and did the weird tongue roll thing!!

you are the man

I almost fall off the couch when I watch your videos and I need a BOOM T shirt now. Thanks for the videos
Proud to support such…uh… noble work. You are awesome and I hope you keep making videos because I absolutely love watching them.

Hey I hope you are growing a mustache for this November bud. I want to see some facial hair mayhem! You know..for men’s health…..
I hope you get to read this Mehdi, i think you deserve a great deal of respect .

I have truely enjoyed your work.
If you ever are planing to visit up state NY
Let me know so i can take you to Lunch!..
On second thought you would probably find a way to get me killed, so never mind.
Great show! It is really entertaining and I always learn something new, which is amaizing! Keep up the good work! I can’t think of any ideas for content right now, but I’m sure I will have something come to mind sooner or later, my brain never seems to take a break from thinking and questioning everything! -Not complaining
Great Videos!!!!!
I really like the debunk videos
I all most piss myself from laughter watching you get shocked all the time. Just dont kill yourself from to much voltage would miss you.
You’re classic ! Excellent informative videos!
I once connected a dc motor to a home theatre amplifier speaker output, it was violently jumping around but you could hear the music. Maybe you could make an electric car radio haha
Keep it up man, I bet many people have been turned on to studying electronics because of you.
Ever since Bill Nye went all political we’ve been in desperate need of someone just like you. Keep it up!
Thank you for your videos. I’ve been an electronics tech for many, many years, and have a lot of respect for what you are doing. Please keep up the great work!
Thanks for making hilarious videos, they have sparked a tiny bit of interest for me when it comes to electronics. Almost as big as your blown capacitors. So now I am studying the very basics of electronics. I probably won’t understand everything 100%, I’m only after understanding the basics so it will be easier to follow up on your videos. Anyway, love from Norway~
Thanks for creating such informative and entertaining content.
I’ve only recently signed up for your Patreon, as I want you to be able to keep doing what you love [regardless of what becomes of Youtube].
It’s nice to see the tower isn’t dead [even if it is acting a bit strange].
Keep doing what you do. =)
Salaam ElectroBOOM, Thank for your existence, you are a daredevil and stuntman as well as an invaluable source for masterfully made instructional videos. For me, you make the world a better place and bring light with your brand of comedy in such a tasteful manner. I’m telling all my best friends to support you as well and if I could I would pay to have your show syndicated on broadcast television. Your videos have made me laugh more than any other, next to “how to basics” back when he first started, but my laughter is continuous with you to this day. Maybe because my parents and family grew up in Iran but I relate to you a lot and consider you an indispensable part of my life.
I hear you’ll also record a short voice massage? If so I’ll have to think of something, or you can just say whatever you want. You are a rockstar and a staple of comedy on youtube.
Also, I bet you have dozens of ideas for videos, but it would be awesome if you can find time to make a video about making your own vaporizer. My friends and I have been making it for years as a hobby and there are a bunch of unfortunate nuances that can occur in the process. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about here’s an Imgur link: http://imgur.com/a/mPhJu
